
This Pop-Up card turned out awesome! I’d like to give a shout out to Connie Stewart, she had a video on how to create pop-up cards the easy way. The coordination between Stampin’ Up! products and colors make this card super quick and easy.
Measurements:
- Night of Navy cardstock 4 1/4″ x 11″
- Night of Navy cardstock 3/8″ x 4″
- Boho Blue cardstock 3 7/8″ x 10 1/2″
- Basic White cardstock 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ – inside greeting
- Basic White cardstock cut 2 @ 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ – waves
- Basic White cardstock 2 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ – ship
- Basic White cardstock 1/2″ x 2″ – front greeting
- Thick Basic White cardstock 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ – sails
- Pecan Pie cardstock 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ – ship
- By The Bay Designer Series Paper (DSP) 4″ x 5 1/4″
Instructions:
- Score the 4 1/4″ x 11″ Night of Navy cardstock at 5 1/2″
- Fold and burnish the score lines
- Score the 3 7/8″ x 10 1/2″ Boho Blue cardstock at 5 1/4″
- With this piece folded on the score line, place the fold at the top of the Stampin’ Trimmer and 1 edge at the 3/4″ mark
- CUT down to the 1″ mark
- Turn this piece over so the opposite side is now at the 3/4″
- CUT down to the 1″ mark
- Turn this piece 1/4 turn so the folded edge is lined up at the 1″ mark
- Score from cut line to cut line
- Turn this piece over and score from cut line to cut line
- Fold and burnish all score lines
- You should have a “box” that stands out from the inside of this piece of cardstock



Directions Cont.
- Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adere 1 side of this pop-up panel to one side of the Night of Navy card base
- Close card and give the card base a good rub to make sure the one side is adhered
- Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adere the other side of this pop-up panel to the other side of the Night of Navy card base
- Close card and give the card base a good rub to make sure both sides are adhered



Directions Cont.
- Stamp the flight of birds in Night of Navy ink onto the DSP on the front of the card
- Adhere the DSP to the front of the card base
- Stamp the Happy Birthday greeting in Night of Navy ink onto the 1/2″ x 2″ Basic White cardstock, cut as desired
- Stamp the ship in Night of Navy ink onto the 2 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ Basic White cardstock, die cut
- Stamp the inside greeting in Night of Navy ink onto the 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ Basic White cardstock
- Die cut the bottom of the ship from the 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ Pecan Pie cardstock
- Die cut the sails of the ship from the 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Thick Basic White cardstock
- Die cut the skull and crossbones using a scrap of basic white cardstock
- Apply a tiny bit of adhesive on the back of the skull and crossbones and gently press onto the front sail
- Using a Blending Brush and Pecan Pie ink, color the sales as dark as you would like
- Gently lift off the skull and crossbones, adhere this to the bottom of the inside greeting
- Using Dimensionals, adhere the bottom of the ship and the back sail to the front of the card base
- Using Dimensionals, adhere the top sail on top of the bottom sail and off set so that you can see both sails
- Adhere the 3/8″ x 4″ strip of Night of Navy cardstock across the inside panel
- Adhere the stamped, white cardstock over part of the 3/8″ x 4″ Night of Navy cardstock
- Place Multipurpose Liquid Glue across the bottom of the pop-up box
- Adhere the stamped and die cut ship to this
- Die cut a 2 waves using Basic White cardstock
- Using a Blending Brush and Boho Blue ink, color 1 of the waves
- Adhere the white wave (you may need to make the waves shorter by trimming the straight edge
- Adhere the colored blue wave
