This Cutest Cow card comes together super quick and is easy-peasy! The DSP from the Les Shoppes collection is perfect for this card. I love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates so well across a variety of elements. Here I am using the Les Shoppes DSP and the Cutest Cow stamp set; who would have thought? You could use this card layout to make a variety of cards

Measurements

  • Basic White card stock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ – card base
  • Basic White card stock 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ and 1/2″ x 3″ – die cut
  • Basic White card stock 1-1/2″ x 4″ – stamping
  • Les Shoppes DSP 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″

Instructions

I started by scoring the card base at 4-1/4″, then folded and burnished the score line. Then I adhered the DSP to the entire front of the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Next, I die cut a circle and a flagged banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies from Basic White card stock.

On the flagged banner, using Momento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the greeting, “holy cow” & I then stamped the cow and his head. I colored the spots on the cow and its face using Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends, and added a touch of Petal Pink to the inside of the ears and punched them out using the Cow Builder Punch.

I used a Dimensional to pop the head up from the body of the cow. I adhered the die cut circle to the card front just slightly above the center of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added 2 Dimensionals to the body of the cow and 2 (1 on top of the other) Dimensionals to the head. After removing the backings to the Dimensionals, I placed the cow in the center of the white, die-cut circle. Next, I added Dimensionals to the back of the stamped, banner greeting and added it to the card front. I added a few yellow dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment pack to the front of the card.

On the inside of the card, using Momento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the greeting, It’s Your Special Day. I then added a 1/2″ strip of the same DSP to the bottom of this card. I also decorated the flap of the envelope with the same DSP!
