Blown Away

What a fun stamp set, especially with the new In-Colors from Stampin’ Up! Here it is in all 5 of the 2022-2024 In Colors. Which one is your favorite?

I love the new 2022-2024 In Colors, they are so bright, cheerful and fun! They are “happy” colors to me and go great with this new stamp set called, Blown Away. Great combination!

Measurements:

• Card Base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
• Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″
• Basic White 4″ x 4″ for stamping
• 3″ x 6″ 2022-2024 In Color DSP
• 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ 2022-2024 In Color DSP

Instructions:

1. Score the 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Starry Sky cardstock at 4 1/4″ for the card base
2. Run the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White panel through the Die Cut Embossing machine using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder
3. Lay the 3″ x 6″ piece of DSP at an angle over the top of the embossed Basic White cardstock, move it around a bit until you find the angle that works best for you
4. Adhere the DSP over the top of the Basic White cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue
5. Turn this panel to the back side and trim off the excess DSP
6. Using the Starry Sky 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon, wrap it around this panel 3 times before tying into a bow
7. Adhere this panel to the front of the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
8. On a scrap of Basic White cardstock, stamp the fan/dog using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the greeting using Starry Sky ink
9. Using Stampin’ Blends, color the dog with Light Crumbcake, the tongue with Light Flirty Flamingo, and the ears with Light Petal Pink
10. I also colored the fan using both the Light and Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends
11. Using my Paper Snips, I fussy cut both the dog and the fan separating them from each other
12. I took the stamp (greeting) off the block, laid it over my greeting and lightly traced it with a pencil
13. Using my Paper Snips, I cut along the pencil lines then I go back with an eraser and erase the pencil marks
14. I took a Sponge Dauber and inked it lightly with Starry Sky and gently brushed it over the edges of my greeting
15. I adhered the dog, the fan and the greeting with Dimensionals
16. I added 3 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots to the front of the card
17. I adhered the 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strip of DSP to the left of the Basic White cardstock
18. I stamped the greeting (inside of the card) using Starry Sky ink
19. Adhere this panel to the inside of your card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love this new stamp set, so cute! I’m one of those people that likes to “fussy cut” and the cute dog with the fan blowing in his face makes the card even more fun! I hope you’ll give this card a try and let me know how it turns out for you!
