Can you believe I already have scraps that need to be used? I love to use my scraps and I needed a get well card for a friend so I thought I’d try a variation of the Herringbone pattern.

Measurements:
- Orchid Oasis Card Base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- Starry Sky 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Starry Sky 2 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
- Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Basic White scrap for stamping/punching
- Orchid Oasis scrap for punching
- 1/2″ x 2″ strips of 2022-2024 In Color DSP
Instructions:
- Score the 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Orchid Oasis cardstock at 4 1/4″ for the card base
- Run the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Starry Sly panel through the Die Cut/Embossing machine using the Time Worn 3D Embossing Folder
- Take the 2 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Starry Sky cardstock and mark the centre point with a pencil
- Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, lay one of the strips of DSP over the dot at an angle towards the bottom of the panel
- Lay the next strip of DSP at the top of the first strip leaving a small gap toward the top of the panel
- Lay the next strip of DSP next to the 2nd piece of DSP leaving a small gap toward the top of the panel

Instructions Cont.
- Continue this process until your panel is full, set aside to completely dry
- Run the run the 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Starry Sky cardstock through the Die Cut Embossing Machine using the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder
- Stamp the greeting on the scrap of Basic White cardstock
- Using the Double Oval Punch, punch our the greeting
- Now punch out the background for the greeting with the scrap of Orchid Oasis
- Adhere the greeting to the background oval with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
- Turn the Herringbone pattern over, trim off the excess scraps
- Using the Paper Trimmer, trim on the long side to 2″ and on the short side to 5 1/4″
- Adhere this panel to the embossed panel of Starry Sky
- Adhere this to the front of the card base
- Adhere the greeting to the front of the card with Dimensionals
- Tie a bow and adhere it to the edge of the greeting with Mini Glue Dots
- Using the leftover 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ strip of the front Herringbone panel, adhere to the Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel for the inside of the card
- Adhere this panel to the inside of the card base with MultiPurpose Liquid Glue

This card was super fast and fun to make. The new 2022-2024 In Colors are so bright and cheerful. Give this card a try and let me know what you think!
