After putting my thinking cap on, I came up with some beautiful cards using the 19th template from Stampin’ Up! The first card makes a great graduation, wedding, retirement or any type of card for someone that needs to be congratulated!
Black and white always make stunning cards. I added Glitter Gold DSP which is now retired, behind the Basic White panel and to the number 2. The number 2 is from the Playful Alphabet Dies which is retired. Foam Adhesive Sheets were used to pop the number 2 up! Using the Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments brought the Gold out!
I love the Festive Glimmer Designer Specialty Paper, it is absolutely stunning. I created the 12 circles and the banner using the Stylish Shapes Dies. Did you know you can emboss directly on the Glimmer Paper? That’s exactly what I did!
For the 3rd card, I decided not to stay with circles but used the template with squares. Remember, it’s only a template and your imagination that makes it work. The Take a Bow Designer Series Paper and the Festive Glimmer Paper from Stampin’ Up! coordinate beautifully. I fussy cut the deer from the Reindeer Fun Designer Series Paper which is now on the Last Chance Products list (get it while you can!) Isn’t it great how the 2 different Designer Series Papers coordinate so well? I did not use a greeting on the front of the card but saved it for the inside of the card.
Measurements:
- 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base
- 2 @ 4″ x 5-1/4″ first panel (one for the inside)
- 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ top panel (cards 2 & 3)
- 12 @ 1″ x 1″ circles
- 13 @ 1-1/4″ 1-1/4″ squares
- 1/2″ x 4″ banner
Instructions:
- Die cut or punch circles or squares and banner
- If you are going to emboss or stamp your banner, do it now
- Lay these out on your top layer for placement
- Adhere these using your favorite adhesive
- Adhere this panel to the next panel and then to the card base
- Add embellishments to the card front
Let your imagination go with this template, you will make beautiful cards for any occasion. Substitute flowers or hearts for the circles as I did with the Squares. This is a great template for any occasion.
