Fabulous Cards using Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper and Template #18

What a fun template to work with! I love working with Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper; they always coordinate beautifully. There are a total of 22 templates on page 22 in the Annual Catalog. Seeing the template is a great guide but it’s even more helpful when you have measurements. Keep reading for all the measurements!

DSP is Flowering Zinnias and the greeting is from the Simply Zinnia bundle now on the Last Chance rack
Product List
This card uses the Mediterranean Blooms DSP, the greeting on the front is from the Country Birdhouse Stamp set
The greeting on the inside of this card is from the Charming Duck Pond Stamp set

The DSP is from A Little Latte DSP; oops! I put the top panel on upside down but I think it still works!
The inside of this card has a pocket from the Pocket Thoughts Dies which can hold a gift card

Measurements:

  • 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base
  • 4″ x 5-1/4″ first (bottom) panel
  • 2 @ 3-3/4″ x 5″ Basic White (top panel on front, panel for the inside of the card)
  • 2″ x 2″ Basic White
  • 3 @ 1-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ Designer Series Paper
  • 1/2″ x 3-3/4″

The measurements are the same for each of the 3 cards I am sharing with you. Notice how it really doesn’t matter which Designer Series Paper I use, each one turned out different but in a very good way! Use the DSP of your choice!

Instructions:

  • Adhere the 3 pieces of DSP that measure 1-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ to the top panel with your favorite adhesive
  • Flag both ends of the 1/2″ x 3-3/4″ piece of DSP, adhere to the front of the card with your favorite adhesive
  • If you are going to want this top panel to be embossed, do it now
  • Adhere the top panel to the bottom panel and then to the front of the card base
  • Stamp your greeting in coordinating ink
  • Using Dimensionals, pop up your circle or other shaped item over the top of the DSP
  • Stamp the inside greeting and adhere to the inside of the card
  • Add embellishments to the front of the card

Each of these cards was fun to make. I didn’t have the Stamps or dies for the Mediterranean DSP (card 2) or the A Little Latte DSP (card 3) so I just fussy cut the images I wanted to use. I find “fussy” cutting to be relaxing and enjoyable but many do not. That’s when you need to buy the stamp set and the dies.

I do hope you’ll try this template; it’s easy and fun and actually very easy! Any greeting will work and so will any Designer Series Paper. If you don’t have the dies, fussy cut! These cards turned out fabulous!
