Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets Fun-Fold Card

You are going to love the new Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets Bundle which is available to customers on November 1, 2022. The coordinating Designer Series Paper, ‘Fitting Florets’ is gorgeous and some of the dies can be used to cut floral images from the DSP. This new bundle will also be in the Mini Catalog starting in January and the DSP is only available while supplies last but you can get it now!

This Fun-Fold card is a book-fold card with a surprise on the inside. Of course, it looks intricate, and difficult but it’s actually very easy. Follow along as I give step by step instructions with pictures to guide you.

Measurements:

  • Evening Evergreen card stock 4 1/4″ x 11″ (card base)
  • Evening Evergreen card stock 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ (oval)
  • Basic White card stock 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ (oval)
  • Basic White card stock 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ (inside)
  • Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper 4″ x 5 1/8″ (front)
  • Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper 6″ x 6″ (inside)

Instructions for Outside Card:

  1. Score the Evening Evergreen card base along the 11″ side at 4 1/4″ and 5 1/2″
  2. Fold on the 5 1/2″ score line to the center
  3. Fold on the 4 1/4″ score line back to the left
  4. With the 5 1/8″ side at the top, cut the DSP for the front of the card at 1 1/8″; you now have 2 pieces, 1 that measures 4″ x 4″ and 1 that measures 1 1/8″ x 4″
  5. Adhere both of these pieces of DSP to the front of your card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  6. Tie a piece of 3/8″ Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon around the center of the left panel of the card front, trim as needed
  7. Place 2 strips of Tear & Tape on either side of the ribbon, remove the backing and press firmly

Instructions for Outside Card Cont :

  1. On the 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Basic White card stock, stamp the greeting using the Stamparatus
  2. Place the Framed Florets oval die around the greeting, die cut by running it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
  3. Cut a 2nd oval from the Evening Evergreen card stock
  4. Center the stamped, white oval in the center of the card front, place the Evening Evergreen oval frame around it
  5. Adhere the above 2 ovals using Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  6. Onto Basic White scraps and using Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp 2 large and 1 small flower images, and 5 sets of leaves
  7. Color the large flower using both the light and the dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends
  8. Color the leaves using both the light and the dark Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends
  9. Die cut the flower and the leaves
  10. Adhere the large flower with a Dimensional on the back
  11. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Soft Succulent leaves, tucking them in and around the flower

Instructions for Inside of Card:

Inside of Card
  1. Using the Paper Trimmer, score the 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP at the 3″, rotate and score at the 3″ mark
  2. Turn the paper diagonally so that 1 corner is in the top of the scoring track and the opposite corner is in the bottom of the scoring track, score from corner to corner
  3. Gently fold along all score lines and crease using your bone folder
  4. It will then fold into a 3″ x 3″ square, crease again with your bone folder
  5. Open the card base and place your 3″ x 3″ square so 1 corner is pointing up and the opposite corner pointing down (double check as this must be the corners that you scored from), 1 corner is facing right and the other corner is facing left
  6. Close card to make sure it fits
  7. Open the card without moving the 3″ x 3″ square, apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the top of 3″ x 3″ square; close card and hold closed for a few moments
  8. Open the card from the back side, apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to bottom of the 3″ x 3″ square; close card and hold closed for a few moments
  9. Stamp the inside greeting onto the 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ Basic White square of card stock using Evening Evergreen ink
  10. Adhere this panel to the right side of the inside
  11. Center the Evening Evergreen oval on the left side of the card, place the Basic White oval frame around it
  12. Adhere the above 2 ovals using Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  13. Die cut or fussy cut a flower image from the DSP, adhere to the oval on the left with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  14. Embellish the front of the card with Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls to the front of the card

This is an easy, over-the-top, fun-fold card to make and the recipient will love it! I love the finished look. However, I might do things a bit differently next time. And yes, there will be a next time. I enjoy creating the same card layout using different papers, colors and embellishments.
