The Kindest Gnomes Bundle and coordinating Designer Series Paper made this project easy, fun, and super fast. I love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates their supplies. From start to finish, this project took less than 15 minutes.
I just happen to have a box of Junior Mints in my “stash”. I instantly thought of the Kindest Gnomes to decorate the box and make it look much more attractive than the plain box the mints come in.
I had created a box to cover a different size of Junior Mints back in the springtime. I used the Easter Friends (retired) stamp set and the Daffodil DSP. Super cute and easy to do!
3D Treat Holder
I always start with a piece of computer paper (used). Measure the length of the box; cut my paper to that length. Then I measure the width of the box and multiply by 2; measure the side of the box and multiply that by 2. Then I add the 2 measurements together and add a couple of inches for the paper to overlap in the back. Then I cut my computer paper to those measurements and gently wrap it around the box. Adjust as needed.
Measurements for the Kindest Gnome 3D Treat Holder
- Storybook Gnomes DSP 5 1/4″ x 8″ and 2 @ 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ (ends of box)
- Basic White card stock 1/2″ x 3″
Instructions:
- Gently wrap the DSP around the box of Junior Mints, as you fit it to the box, crease along the edges of the box
- Take the DSP off the box and use your Bone Folder to crease the edges
- Place Tear & Tape along the long side of the DSP that will overlap the DSP at the back of the box
- Using the Gnomes Dies, die cut a mushroom and a gnome
- Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the mushroom to the front of the box
- Use Dimensionals to pop up the gnome
- Stamp the greeting on the 1/2″ x 3″ Basic White card stock in Pacific Point ink
- Using your Paper Snips, flag both ends of the greeting
- Add Dimensionals to the back of the greeting and place at the top of the box
- Adhere the 2 strips of 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ DSP to the ends of the box with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
These would make great stocking stuffers, gifts for Secret Santa, gifts for co-workers, etc. So easy and quick and it’s not too soon to start your Christmas shopping! I hope I’ve inspired you to try this 3D project.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today; as always, have a stamp-happy day!
