Stampin’ Up! Template #1

I’ve decided to try and make each of the card templates in the annual catalog and post my samples using retired and current Stampin’ Up! products. The Stampin’ Up! card templates are on page 22 in the Annual Catalog and I’ll start with the one on the top left and work my way across the top. I hope this will give you some ideas on how to use the templates with products you already own.

Template #1
1st attempt using retired DSP;
“Bee Mine”
Keeping it casual
This Stampin' Up! card is an illustration of how to use the first template in the current annual catalog .
Stepped up a notch

The first card for the first Stampin’ Up! template is made with retired DSP to get the measurements correct. Once I have the measurements where I want them, it’s time to make a card with current products. Card #2 uses the same measurements but I added a colored card stock base, Highland Heather and a panel of Basic White card stock. The 3rd card was stepped up a notch using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder on the Basic White panel. I thought of moving the sentiment around but then thought to keep it as close to the template as possible.

Measurements:

  • Card base 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White 2 @ 4″ x 5-1/4″ (one for the inside)
  • Bottom panel of DSP 3″ x 4″
  • Top panel of DSP 2-3/4″ x 4″
  • Die cut greeting 1″ x 2-1/2″
Product List

I enjoyed trying this template, I may even decide to use this card template for a card workshop. I think it would work with any of the fabulous Designer Specialty Papers (DSP) has in stock and right now, most of it is 15% off through the end of August. I hope you’ll give this template a try with products you already have. If you’d like any of the products I’ve used here, I’d love to have you purchase from me at my online store.

Stay tuned for template #2 next week! Stampin’ Up! cards are now easier than ever to make as Stampin’ Up! has provided these templates. You can make them simple and easy or add as much to your card to give it your own touch!

  1. I love the card. Once the measurements are figured out, it is really quite easy to make. I thought of copying the templates to put in a convenient place for working. May still do that.
