3 Easy Card Designs with Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!

Oh my, this template really challenged me. I wasn’t sure how/what to do with this one except for a greeting which was the easy part. I started by cutting computer paper into different sized rectangles until I found a size I liked. You don’t need to use my sizes but it could be a great starting point. I have 3 easy card designs with Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! to share with you in this post.

Once I created 9 rectangles that each measure 1″ x 1-1/2″, I had to decide if they were going to butt up against each other or if I wanted to leave space between them. I decided it was easier to butt them up against each other but you don’t have to. Using Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! makes each of these 3 cards quick and easy. This template would work with any DSP.

Card #1 using the 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper
Card #2 using the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper
Card #3 using the Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper

All 3 cards use the exact same measurements, (see below) but you could change them up to fit your liking! I did need to trim 2 sides of the Basic White panel on the 2nd and 3rd cards to make it look symmetrical. I also embossed the background panel on the 2nd & 3rd cards as well as adding ribbon/twine to add more depth and take them up a notch.

I’m liking all 3 of these cards now that I’ve gotten used to the template. I did use rectangles but squares can easily replace the rectangles. Making Stampin’ Up! greeting cards is easier when you follow a template. The templates are on page 22 of the Annual Catalog.

Measurements:

  • 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ – card base
  • 4″ x 5-1/4″ – background panel
  • 3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″ – Basic White panel to place rectangles on
  • 1″ x 1-1/2″ – cut 9 Designer Series Paper

My favorite card is number 3. I love the embossed background using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and I love the way the Mossy Meadow and the Boho Blue actually compliment each other and both go so well with the Take to the Sky DSP (Designer Series Paper). Which one is your favorite?

I hope you’ll give this template a try, I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how to use each template. Doing this weekly has been a big challenge! I have shown you 8 different templates with a variety of ways to use each one. Have you tried any of the templates? If so, which is your favorite so far?
