Template #6

If you decide to try this template layout, I’d love for you to share your own creations. It’s always fun to see what someone else has created using the same layout!

I started very basic, usually the best place to start!
Added a few extra touches!

In the 2nd picture, I added a panel of Basic White card stock along with one of the butterflies from the Paper Butterfly Accents. I used a blending brush to add some color, Peach Pie and Pretty in Pink to make the butterfly standout a bit more.

Added a few more embellishments to my 3rd card.

In this 3rd picture, I added an embossed panel of Basic White card stock along with some coordinating ribbon, shiny sequins and used another butterfly from the Paper Butterfly Accents which I colored as well.

I used the same layout but didn’t use a circle, I used the heart die cut (as well as the heart outline) from the Friends for Life bundle.

Here is where I started to unleash my creativity with this template. Instead of the circle, I used the heart die cut from the Friends for Life Bundle. My favorite is the last card using the heart but I was surprised my husband actually liked the 3rd picture using the Peach Pie card base and other coordinating embellishments. Which is your favorite?

Measurements:

  • Card base 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″
  • Basic White card stock 2 @ 4″ x 5-1/4″ and 2-1/2″ 2-1/2″ circle
  • Basic White card stock 2 @ 4″ x 5-1/4″ and 3″ x 3-1/4″ heart
  • Designer Series Paper – DSP 3 @ 1-3/4″ x 2-1/2″

Directions:

  1. Center one of the 3 pieces of Designer Series Paper about 1/2″ from the top in the center of the card, adhere
  2. Place the 2nd piece of Designer Series Paper about 1/2″ from the bottom but a bit further to the left side of the card, adhere
  3. Place the 3rd piece of Designer Series Paper centered between the other 2 pieces of DSP and further to the right side of the card, adhere
  4. Stamp your greeting on your circle, apply adhesive to the back of the circle and tuck it under the bottom piece of DSP
  5. Add embellishments as desired

I hope you’ll try this template with whatever products you have on hand. Now that you have the measurements, your card will come together quickly. My guess is you will want to use this template to make several other cards with different greetings, different papers and different embellishments. The possibilities are endless with these templates.
