How to Use Stampin’ Up! Template #16

Template #16

I knew I was going to like this template as soon as I saw it! These templates, found on page 22 in the annual Stampin’ Up! catalog are so much fun to work with. For template #16, I started with one of the many Designer Series Papers (DSP) and go from there. The Full of Life 6″ x 6″ is the DSP I have chosen to use for these 3 cards. I can see this template working with so many different DSP’s.

Card #1

I started with a Basic White Thick piece of card stock and added a panel of DSP measuring 3″ x 4-1/2. I stamped and die cut the greeting using the Nested Essentials Dies. I adhered the greeting to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Measurements:

  • 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base
  • 3″ x 4-1/2″ DSP panel
  • 3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″ panel behind DSP
  • 1-1/2″ x 2″ greeting
  • 1-3/4″ x 2-1/2″ layer behind greeting
  • 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ 2nd layer behind greeting
Card #2

For cards 2 & 3, I added a panel of card stock behind the DSP as well as the greeting. In the 3rd card, I adhered the Basic White panel to the card base with Dimensionals. The greeting is adhered with Dimensionals and the next 2 layers are die cut and then glued on. I really like the Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots in the 2nd card.

Product List

This card was quick and easy. I love the simplicity of it and the selection of DSP for these cards shows another way to use this DSP. I hope you’ll be challenged by this template and re-create one of these cards using the DSP you already have.

Now it’s time to unleash your creative side and try this template. I’d love to see your finished product(s). Be sure to leave a comment about this template and share with your crafty and creative friends.
