Trimming The Tree Christmas Card

Using Soft Succulent as the card base, adding in Evening Evergreen, Basic White and Real Red makes this a beautiful, traditional Christmas Card.

This incredibly wonderful stamp set is so traditional, I love it! This card makes a wow statement and comes together quickly. Using the Trimming the Tree stamp set from Stampin’ Up! with traditional colors makes me feel a bit nostalgic, like going home!

I chose not to die cut the tree, instead; I simply stamped it onto the Basic White card stock and then die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies. I popped the Basic White panel up using Dimensionals over the top of the die cut Evening Evergreen Panel. Follow along as I walk you through making this card with ease.

Measurements:

  • Soft Succulent card stock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
  • Evening Evergreen card stock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • Basic White card stock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • Basic White card stock 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Real Red Ribbon 3″

Instructions:

  1. Score the Soft Succulent card stock along the 8 1/2″ side at 4 1/4″
  2. Die cut the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Evening Evergreen panel using the largest scalloped die
  3. Die cut the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Basic White panel using the next side down

  7. Using Crumb Cake ink, stamp the bucket for the tree and the garland across the top (I stamped off 1 time for the garland)
  8. On a scrap piece of Basic White, stamp the greeting in Real Red ink
  9. Adhere the Evening Evergreen die cut panel to the front of the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  10. Adhere the stamped, Basic White panel over the Evening Evergreen panel with Dimensionals
